The basic intent would be to broaden the education levels of the indigenous peoples (up to Graduate Equivalency Diploma) and to provide the Spanish language capability necessary for graduates to pursue higher levels of theological education at the Presbyterian Seminary of Guatemala and beyond.

To provide approximately 60 scholarships each year of $300 each for indigenous ordained pastors, prospective pastors and lay people to obtain more theological education. This funding anticipates that a $300 scholarship today will provide the subsistence costs only for a selected person. No tuition costs can be afforded and are not therefore paid to the training institute. The scholarships will be shard among the Presbyterian Seminary and the five native language training centers of Maya-Quiche Bible Institute, Mam Center, Cackchiquel Center, Kanhobal Center and the Kekchi Center.

For Faculty Leadership Development, and is to fund the advanced theological education for the faculty of the San Felipe Presbyterian Seminary, the Mam Center, and the Maya-Quiche Institute. These funds will enable the faculty of Mam and Maya-Quiche to attend three-month or six-month courses at the Presbyterian Seminary in San Felipe and for faculty of all institutes to take specialized courses at the Seminario Evangelico Latino Americano in Costa Rica or similar institutes which provide high quality advanced education.
