The income from this fund is to be used with preference to children [of foreign missionaries] attending the College of Wooster and any income not use for children attending the College of Wooster is to be used for children [of foreign missionaries] attending other schools. The income will not be carried forward at the end of the fiscal year except as part of the total balance available for all schools.

The Bible Training Department of the John C. Martin Foundation-31417 | 203100054186

IIt is my wish and desire that each of the three bodies corporate above named shall create and install in such of its Colleges, Schools and places of learning under its supervision and control, or such as may hereafter come under its control, a regular course of instruction for Bible teaching, each of which shall be designated and known as The Bible Training Department of the John C. Martin Foundation. That each of the three bodies corporate mentioned shall set apart the moneys and securities to be received hereunder by them and each of them as an Endowment Fund for maintaining the said Bible Training Department, to which may be added any other funds from time to time received and applicable to the uses of such fund and to having maintained said Bible Training Department, and to use the income derivable from said fund so far as the same will permit for the maintenance thereof and for the instructions of students in its various Colleges and Schools in the fundamental teachings of Evangelical Churches. The said Bible Training Department will by means of a proper and suitable faculty instruct its students in Bible study and in the fundamental teachings of the Evangelical Churches, and will provide a recitation period therein for every school day and that it will provide for the attendance thereat of students in every college course, and that it will provide for examinations of students in said department, and will require for graduation from said College in any course that students shall pass a successful examination is said departments. The wish and desire above expressed is not to be construed as a limitation on the bequests mentioned and above set out. It is my purpose and intent to make such bequests absolute and unconditional, and the desire herein outlined is to be taken as a recommendation only.
