Endowment Fund for Support of Indigenous Faculty at N.E.S.T. | 203100058557
to be used in its mission for the support of the indigenous faculty at the Near East School of Theology (hereinafter NEST), P.O. Box 13-5780 (Chouran) Beirut, Lebanon or its successors. The following definitions apply to the charitable purpose: Indigenous Faculty is defined for the purpose of the Fund to be baptized Christians who were born in the Middle East and who are members in good standing of a Protestant Evangelical Church in the Middle East. Such persons must be appointed by the NEST's board of Managers to the faculty and to be actively teaching at the NEST in Beirut. Expatriates born in the Middle East are not regarded to be indigenous. A Protestant Evangelical Church in the Middle East is defined as a Protestant church recognized by the NEST Board of Managers. This includes but is not limited to those Protestant church bodies which are members of the Board of Managers or to those Protestant church bodies which have an affiliated relationship to the NEST. For the purposes of the Fund the term Middle East is understood to be that geographical area which includes Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel/Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Egypt, Cyprus, Armenia and Turkey, as well as the Arabian Peninsula and the Arabian Gulf states.
