John and Rachel Latta Family Scholarship Fund | 102240100860
To provide a scholarship for a graduating senior of the high school(s) serving Mebane, North Carolina, for the purpose of attending an institution of higher education, i.e. college, university, community college, trade school, etc. The scholarship shall be administered through the Session of the Mebane Presbyterian Church (or its successor) with first preference to children of that church, otherwise, to any qualified graduating senior from the community. In the case of the qualified student from the congregation, the Session shall select the recipient; in the case of a qualified student not from the congregation, the Session shall accept a student recommended by the high school's appropriate selection committee. Criteria to be considered in selecting a qualified student shall be: academic ability, good citizenship qualities, financial need, active participation in a church and work history.
