And of this further trust, that my said trustees to pay to the said corporation of the General Assembly [Foundation], their successors and assigns, as soon as they are in cash by the sale of my estate from my unseated or other lands, the sum of five thousand dollars, to be laid out by them in some public stock or other solvent securities; and the rents, issues, and profits thereof shall be divided into equal moieties, one to be appropriated to the support of a missionary or catechist, to instruct, aid, and assist the poor and distressed (by visiting, advising, and yielding them spiritual comfort) in the hospitals, magdelens, alms-houses, bettering-houses, public prisons and places of confinement for crimes and misdemeanors, or such of them in the city of Philadelphia, or elsewhere, as the said corporation and General Assembly may direct, and to whom access may be obtained; the other moiety to be in like manner appropriated for the like uses and purposes in the city of New York, or the state thereof, as the said corporation of the General Assembly may direct.
