Toward the support and maintenance of the House of Rest, with the right, upon the part of the Board [of Foreign Missions n/k/a/ Coemar], should it determine that it is necessary or advisable to discontinue the operation of the House of Rest, to use the income from this fund for the support of a similar project at some other location, or, if there should be no other similar project, then the income to be applied toward the general work of the Board.

By Order of Superior Court of California 7/23/43 the Woman's Occidental Board of Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian Church turned over the net proceeds from the sale of Helen Peabody Home and cash from the Helen Peabody Estate, in trust, income to be used to provide accommodations in the House of Rest established by David B. and Mary H. Gamble, for the persons and in the manner set forth in the Will of Helen Peabody, deceased, or if no persons are available for such assistance, then in substantially the same basis as set forth in that Will, principal to be kept intact. The Court expressly retained jurisdiction of the entire matter of the trust under the Will of Helen Peabody and the decree of distribution, and BFM was directed to apply to the Court for instructions in anything arising out of the matters set forth in the decree.
