Fund for the Explication & Application of Reformed Theology | 103120006075
to support the Fund for the Explication and Application of Reformed Theology currently in existence at the seminary (hereinafter called the SEMINARY FUND), subject to certain conditions upon its receipt of said income. UNION THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY IN VIRGINIA agrees to follow the guidelines recommended by the DONOR and adopted for the SEMINARY FUND and will issue periodic status reports on the work of the SEMINARY FUND to an advisory committee established by the DONOR to monitor the application of the use of income from this Permanent Fund. The advisory committee will be self-perpetuating and will annually select its own chair. The initial members of the advisory committee shall be: John H. Leith, Chair; Taylor Reveley; John Debevoise; Stacy Johnson; Caroline Leith, and; Charles Raynal. This advisory committee shall monitor the program of the SEMINARY FUND and determine whether the income received from this Permanent Fund supports the original intentions designated by the DONOR or if another Presbyterian-related institution may better use the income according to the original intentions of the DONOR. The advisory committee shall recommend through its chair any alternate Presbyterian-related institutions to the FOUNDATION. The FOUNDATION may transfer the income to another Presbyterian-related institution if it determines in its sole discretion that the income has not been used according to the original intentions of the DONOR or if a transfer of the income is in the best interest of the FUND FOR THE EXPLICATION AND APPLICATION OF REFORMED THEOLOGY.

The principal and income therefrom shall be used for loans to students who demonstrate a need therefore and a desire to obtain an education in the college. The other qualifications of applicants, together with the terms and conditions of said loans, are to be determined by the governing board of said college in it's discretion, including the power in the proper case to waive repayment.
