For Christian work among the African-American youth of the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, and its vicinity, and I desire and stipulate that this Christian work shall take the form of Young Men's Christian Association work and that it shall be under the general care and supervision of my cousin, Lex Kluttz, presently Secretary of the Young Men's Christian Association of Charlotte, North Carolina, and of the Reverend R. H. Stone, Superintendent of Home Missions of the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Presbytery so long as either of them shall live. The said funds may be used through a regularly organized Young Men's Christian Association at Charlotte, North Carolina, and if any such Young Men's Christian Association should not be engaged in Christian work among the African-American youth of said city, same may be expended for Christian work among the African-American youth of said city and its vicinity through the Board of Home Missions of the Mecklenburg County, N.C. Presbytery. It is my desire that the Christian work among the African-American youth of Charlotte, North Carolina, above provided for, shall include Bible study and instructions in Christian doctrines and belief, as well as provision for gymnasium, indoor sports and outdoor sports, so that the mind, the body and the spirit may all be developed in accordance with Christian doctrines.
