income of this fund be applied for a scholarship for members of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, who are candidates for the ministry under care of the Presbytery of Southern Arizona [n.k.a. Presbytery de Cristo] of the Synod of Arizona [n.k.a. Synod of the Southwest] of the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America. The Candidates shall be selected by the Sessions of these Tucson churches on the basis of the need of financial aid, aptitude and earnestness. If in any year, there is no worthy candidate of the church which is to receive the income of that particular year, then that Church shall apply the income in Christian educational purposes.
