Not to be used for missions or expenses of First Presbyterian Church outside Stanly County, NC. Earnings may be used for any other purpose for the church. The Gaither Family Fund was conceived by Frank Howard Gaither and Frances Breerwood Gaither and initiated by the death of the latter on December 09, 2001. It was their intention that if the trust was accepted by the First Presbyterian Church of Albemarle that the corpus would continue in perpetuity with the earnings designated for local programs of the church (e.g. local mission in Stanly County, FPC expenses for organ, visiting musicians, etc.) and not used for mission and expenses incurred outside of the county (eg. foreign benevolences, Presbytery assessments, etc.). If designated by the session or endowment committee the earnings could be designated to annual local operating expenses of the church. The corpus of the trust would remain open for additional donations, gifts, memorials and legacies.
