I, Bruce Bowlin, Will to the Peak Creek Presbyterian Church [now Mt. Jefferson Presbyterian Church, West Jefferson, NC] $10,000.00 to be added to the $140,000.00 in the church treasury at the present time. One-half the interest on this money is to be used for the upkeep of the church and one-half for Dr. M.D. Harts salary as long as he is pastor. Dr. M D Hart, Dymse Bowlin and Gordon Sheets are the trustees of the money. When Dr. M D Hart is not pastor any longer, the trustees will decide who the next pastor will be and what his salary will be. [This portion tracked separately since 2003 when merger between Peak Creek PC and Mt. Jefferson PC because of the different contingent use if Mt. Jefferson ceases to exist].
