Covenant Lectures Fund | 102240200981

To support the costs incurred by holding annual or biennial lectures sponsored by the Church of the Covenant in the areas of biblical studies, theology, comparative religion, spirituality, religion and culture, ethics, and church history. Lecturers should be identified by the Adult Christian Education Committee, or its successor committee formed by Session, and recommended to Session for approval. Costs should include expenses associated with honoraria, travel, lodging, and similar expenses associated with bringing the lecturer to the church. The lectures may be cosponsored by other congregations, ecumenical or inter-religious organizations, for example, the Cleveland Ecumenical Institute for Religious Studies, with or without financial commitment on their part. If the lectures no longer fit the church's mission then the Session may direct the funds to an appropriate activity at its discretion. It is the intent of the donor that the Session try to find additional educational opportunities for adults to which the funds may be applied.
