Designated Use

The said governing board shall maintain the principal of said fund in tact and shall use the income therefrom for such uses and purposes as the governing board of the Foundation in their discretion shall determine: provided, however, in its allocation of the income from the fund, the governing board of the Presbyterian Foundation, Inc. (U.S.), in the event that the First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, North Carolina, shall from time to time have need for outside assistance in the financing of any of its programs, give preference to the needs of the First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, North Carolina. [Note: Income distributions will be made annually after the first year of reinvestment per the Foundation's Board directive. If FPC, Charlotte, NC does not request any assistance, we'll distribute the prior year's income to the PCUSA A Corp for its programs.]
