Designated Use

The donors intend for the income of the Radcliffe Serovy Fund to honor the legacy of Minner Serovy by nurturing the future of the church, most especially in the region where she began her own ministry journey, as follows: 1. It shall provide resources to the Presbytery of North Central Iowa for the purpose of allowing one person who is a member of a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), to attend as a first-time observer the gathering of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in each year that it occurs. 2. The recipient shall be selected in relevant years by and at the discretion of the Presbytery of North Central Iowa. a. Preference shall be given to a member of Collegiate Presbyterian Church located in Ames, Iowa, or its successor. b. If no such person from Collegiate Presbyterian Church or its successor qualifies, desires, or is available to attend the General Assembly in a given relevant year, then preference shall next be given to a member of another PC(U.S.A.) congregation, within the Presbytery of North Central Iowa, or its successor that has jurisdiction over Ames, IA. c. If no such person from Collegiate Presbyterian Church or its successor, or the Presbytery of North Central Iowa, or its successor that has jurisdiction over Ames, IA, qualifies, desires, or is available to attend the General Assembly, preference shall next be given to a member of a PC(U.S.A.) congregation in another presbytery within the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, or its successor with jurisdiction over Ames, IA. 3. In the event the Presbytery of North Central Iowa ceases to have jurisdiction over Ames, IA, the income of the fund shall be provided to the presbytery with jurisdiction over Ames, IA.
