shall use the said income from the Fund hereby established as outlined in Appendix A.Appendix AThe First Presbyterian Church of Sandusky, Ohio shall administer the Martha Anderson Merrilees Memorial Scholarship Fund #2 following the guidelines set forth below: It is understood that any eligible recipient from the Fund must be a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) for a minimum of four years. It is understood that any eligible recipient from this Fund declares an interest in the education profession, preferably teaching. The session of the First Presbyterian Church of Sandusky, Ohio will choose the recipient(s) and will decide the amount of money to be given to any recipient while preserving principal. At no time shall the principal be used for anything other than generating income from the Fund. Should there be no eligible recipient in any year and/or years; the income is to accrue in an interest bearing financial account to be used by the Fund in subsequent years. The recipient shall be notified by April 1st of each year and must maintain good academic standing to remain eligible. A given recipient shall not receive more than four annual awards. The First Presbyterian Church of Sandusky, Ohio shall promote the Martha Anderson Merrilees Scholarship Fund #2 to the members of the congregation and shall announce the recipients in the local newspaper, on radio and other ways they deem desirable. It is understood that the First Presbyterian Church of Sandusky, Ohio shall correspond with a member of the Merrilees family at least once a year furnishing them with any and all pertinent facts concerning the Fund, including a complete accounting. The name and address of the Merrilees family member will be furnished by the family. It is understood that additions can be made to the scholarship fund at any time and in any amount that are acceptable to the Foundation. Such additional gifts shall be forwarded to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Foundation to be added to the original gift.
