Designated Use

For Christian work among the youth of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and its vicinity, and I desire and stipulate that this Christian work shall take the form of Young Men's Christian Association work and that it shall be under the care and supervision of my cousin, Lex Kluttz, presently Secretary of the Young Men's Christian Association of Charlotte, North Carolina, and of the Reverend Walter Keys, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, (sometimes known as Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church). So long as an organized Young Men's Christian Association shall be doing Christian work among the youth of Blowing Rock, North Carolina and its vicinity, said funds may be used through said organization; but should there be no Young Men's Christian Association at Blowing Rock, North Carolina, engaged in work of a Christian character among the youth thereof, the said funds shall be used through the said Presbyterian Church at Blowing Rock and/or the Board of Home Missions of the Presbytery of which said Church may be part. It is my desire that the Christian work among the youth of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, above provided for, shall include Bible study and instructions in Christian doctrines and belief, as well as provision for gymnasium, indoor sports and outdoor sports, so that the mind, the body and the spirit may all be developed in accordance with Christian doctrines.
