Designated Use
Income may be used for purposes designated by its governing body. Upon request from the Taiwan Seminary, as communicated by two of the following persons, the Principal of Taiwan Seminary, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Taiwan Seminary, or the Director of Accounting of the Taiwan Seminary, the Foundation may elect from time to time to pay out any or all of the assets of the Fund to the Taiwan Seminary for any of the following purposes or any other purposes deemed similar by the Foundation in its sole and absolute discretion: for bolstering the operating budget of the seminary when it reflects a deficit; for increasing the required reserve of the seminary if such levels are modified by any regulatory agency; for special programs of the seminary requiring additional funding outside the budget; for maintaining solvency of the seminary. Upon request from the Taiwan Seminary, as communicated by two of the following persons, the Principal of Taiwan Seminary, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Taiwan Seminary, or the Director of Accounting of the Taiwan Seminary, the Foundation may elect to pay out up to fifty percent (50%) of the assets of the Fund to the Taiwan Seminary for its general mission purposes, as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Foundation. Once the Fund has been created viewing of the information regarding the fund including additional gifts, market value, income distribution and other fund related information will be restricted to the Taiwan Seminary only. The Taiwanese Presbyterian Church of San Jose as the creator of the fund waives all and any rights to such information.
