Designated Use

Upon the dissolution of the Barber Memorial Seminary in 1940 the income was to be used for the general work of the Board of Missions for Freedmen of the PCUSA. Per the Board's decision [see April 2007 minutes] the income is to be paid to Barber-Scotia College for running expenses of the said institution or the enlargement of the equipment of the same. [April 2007 Board Minutes directs income from the Barber Memorial Fund be paid to Barber-Scotia College of Concord, NC so long as it operates as a racial ethnic institution related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)].
