Ralph and Betty Lewis Scholarship Fund | 102240101335
The Foundation shall pay the net income of the Fund quarterly after the expiration of each calendar quarter to the First Presbyterian Church, Oyster Bay, NY (hereinafter the Beneficiary) with the restriction that the Beneficiary utilize the Net Income to award a minimum of a single scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 to be provided each year to a person who is about to enter a two or four year college or university as a full time, first-year, undergraduate student. The Scholarship is to be awarded to an individual in the community in need of financial assistance for higher education, as determined by a committee established by the members of the Beneficiary. The Selection Committee shall identify candidates who (1) have demonstrated a Christian concern for others and/or (2) anticipate pursuing a vocation focused in the service field. The intention of this scholarship is to provide a deserving individual with tuition-aid for the first year of collegiate education only. In any year that the Net Income exceeds $1,000.00, it is the Discretion of the Selection Committee to award a single scholarship in a larger amount or award multiple scholarships, always with one being a minimum of $1,000.00.
